01 / Tell us the story

Message us with the device model, symptoms, liquid or impact history, and any previous repair attempts. Tell us whether your priority is a working device or recovering files.

We confirm whether the job is suitable, explain the diagnostic terms and provide the shipping details. Please do not send a device before receiving those instructions.

02 / Prepare and pack

• If the device still works, make an iCloud or computer backup before sending it.
• Do not erase or reset a device that needs data recovery.
• Discuss passcode requirements privately. If appropriate for the agreed repair, we may ask you to remove the device passcode beforehand.
• Use a sturdy box and enough cushioning to prevent movement. Follow the carrier’s battery and device shipping requirements.
• Include your name, return contact details, device model and a brief description of the issue.
• Use tracking and keep your shipping receipt.

03 / Diagnosis and approval

We assess the fault and discuss the findings, proposed work and cost with you before proceeding. Ask about diagnostic fees, shipping charges and the expected timing when arranging the job.

Some repairs are straightforward; others depend on parts, board condition or recovery work. We confirm an estimate for your device.

04 / Testing and return

After the agreed work and relevant testing, we arrange return shipping. For data recovery, we agree with you on how the recovered files will be delivered.

Local to Montréal or Laval?

Local drop-offs are by appointment. BoxLab operates from a private workshop, not a walk-in retail storefront. Contact us to arrange a time and receive the location details.
